I would agree that this is enchantment, when a piece of writing gets you to read something else, shifts your interest in a new direction. I enjoyed your article.

So much to love here, from your definition of enchantment to your list of additional books. S. Morgenstern originally confused me, but once I got to know other frame narrators, he became very funny. It's a wonderful, sneaky, lit-major pleasure of a novel. Thank you for the enjoyment of this post! :-)
